An industrial robot's greatest fear is not necessarily being unable to move, but not moving accurately enough. When a robotic arm grasps a part, being slightly fast, slightly slow, or having a tiny deviation in landing point can affect the entire production line's cycle time. Solving these problems requires not just stronger AI models but also underlying control chips, sensors, and real-time communication. At the 2026 Industry Fair, GigaDevice made this topic concrete—industrial servo control boards connected to motion mechanisms, and an embodied intelligence exhibition area displaying a six-axis robotic arm, joint motors, and six-axis force detection solutions. They appear scattered but are all answering the same question: how equipment accurately perceives external changes and then converts commands into actions promptly and stably.

Industrial control differs from everyday electronics. A phone occasionally lagging might just make users frown, but servo system feedback being slow or control cycles disrupted can affect a device's machining precision, or even an entire production line's continuous operation. For industrial MCUs, running fast is important, but more important is whether critical actions can complete on time. The GD32H77E industrial servo solution board in the on-site industrial exhibition area puts control, communication, and position feedback in the same display system. According to GigaDevice's published technical materials, the solution uses a 600MHz Arm Cortex-M7 core, integrates an EtherCAT slave controller, with minimum synchronization cycle of 125μs, current loop bandwidth exceeding 2kHz, and supports multiple servo control modes.

These numbers are not a parameter table for ordinary readers to memorize but answer the same thing—how closely motor actions can align with commands issued by the controller. The booth also shows combinations of industrial servo-related boards and motion mechanisms. It reminds people that what truly enters factories is never just the MCU chip itself, but also encoders, power devices, communication interfaces, control algorithms, and the massive debugging time engineers spend on site. For equipment manufacturers, whether a solution can shorten development cycles is often as important as the chip's clock speed.

In the embodied intelligence exhibition area, a six-axis robotic arm and multiple joint and motor solutions form a sharp contrast. The robotic arm is the result audiences most easily understand; the control boards beside it show the underlying path that makes the actions possible. For robots, so-called dexterity is not something a software command can buy—it depends on continuous control of position, speed, and torque at each joint. For example, the on-site GD32H77R MCU robot joint solution, per official materials, uses 24V power supply, 20A rated current, with 17/18-bit absolute value encoders for position feedback, and supports multiple servo modes. Another GD32F50MxxG highly integrated motor solution uses a 252MHz Cortex-M33 core, paired with self-developed pre-drivers and op-amp devices, supports 7–72V input, with nominal rated power up to 720W. The former emphasizes real-time communication and control; the latter uses reducing peripheral devices and compressing board layout complexity as selling points.

However, for robots to truly enter factories and homes, being able to move is not enough—they must also know what they have touched. Six-axis force detection is one important link, measuring not only forces in three directions but also torques in three directions. The on-site GD30AD3642 six-axis force detection solution uses a GD32F503 MCU with GD30AD364x high-precision ADC combination, with manufacturer-stated six-channel synchronous sampling rate of 1kSPS, transmitting data to the controller via EtherCAT interface. It is closer to the robot's sensory nerve endings than the thinking brain. After viewing this group of exhibits, one feeling is obvious—the embodied intelligence industry is moving from "showing what robots can do" to "solving how robots do it stably." The two stages have different focuses. The former easily goes viral with a brilliant demo; the latter requires massive seemingly dull engineering details—whether current sampling is accurate, whether joint control has latency, whether communication protocols are compatible, whether abnormal situations can safely stop.

This also explains why GigaDevice simultaneously displays MCUs, analog chips, and reference designs. For robot manufacturers, the biggest headache is not necessarily being unable to buy a certain chip, but that after combining different devices, debugging, certification, and reliability validation must be redone. Having main control, drive, signal acquisition, and development materials as complete as possible is the only way to reduce uncertainty in complete machine development. From an industry perspective, robot intelligence is rapidly improving, but industrialization speed still depends on whether underlying hardware is mature enough, cheap enough, and easy enough to maintain. Especially for multi-joint robots, each additional joint adds a set of control, communication, power supply, and fault handling issues. Single device cost changes little, but at complete machine scale and mass production volume, it becomes real competitiveness. GigaDevice's value at this Industry Fair lies in putting chips back into equipment's real usage scenarios. But for a chip manufacturer serving industrial and robot markets, "can demonstrate" at exhibitions is only the starting point. More worth continuously watching is whether these solutions can pass long-term operation validation, whether different customers can quickly migrate development, and ultimately whether they can form advantages in cost and supply stability.
